“Courier” uses the font of scripts to shine a light on screen writing related issues. The first publication of “Courier” looked into the start of script writing – a script writer. As of any writer, the ultimate aspiration of script writers is to be published, not in the form of words but in the form of screenplays or stage performance. Easy as it sounds, filming or putting a script onto the stage requires immense resource that it takes around 10 years to publish a script in Australia. As compared to the filmmaking process in other countries, excellent script writers in Australia are struggling to get published. Therefore, the first issue of “Courier” interviewed an emerging script writer to understand the hardship of publishing.

Looking into more issues of script writing in Australia, “Courier” is planning to further look into the difficulties of publishing a script. One of the key issues refers to the limitations to filming without permits from all associated stakeholders. Such process is highly complicated and disruptive to the planning of filming. This publication plans to explore the relevant difficulty in publishing a script to expose the issues to more people. The overall design of the publication applies minimal design while highlighting quotes to make an impression to the readers. “Courier” looks to raise awareness to script writing and the issues related to allow more good scripts in Australia being published.
