This article is discussed about the rising trend of depression in Hong Kong and is based on the true story from the interviewer, Daniel Ho, who was suffering depression at the time writing. A number of questions and background research is examined before the start of writing so as to ensure the careful selection and the mindful use of research material which will be relevant to this article. Originality and impact are the predominant elements for the story. Hence, statistics, quotes and experience sharing are provided in the article in order to express honesty and trueness, and build intimate relationship with the reader. Empathy is considered as one of the vital roles in this article. It gifts the ability to understand and share the feelings of another, as well as to put readers in Ho's shoes and see things from his perspective. By connecting the readers and Ho, a stronger understanding towards the general situation of depression among the Hong Kong society.
