Personality Logo Design
Year: 2018
Brief
To design a logo that match your personality the most.
Approach
The primary concept in my design is based on my identity while also expressing my passion for flowers. I was hugely inspired by my eldest sister, who is a flower designer and owns her own florist in Malaysia. She always teaches me about flower arrangement and design when- ever I am back for holiday. Hence, I have grow my interest in flower design and applied the concepts of it to most of my design project, as well as my personal life.
The idea of three petals and dots is used in building up the whole logo is simple, as 3 is my lucky number at all time. The flower is designed based on the three heart-shaped petals with the equally-distanced lines inside of it in order to create a detailed and clean-look, in the same time, to represent my love for flowers. Besides, the three dots around the flower are also considered as the resonance to each petals.
During the development stage, both square and circle frame have been considered. Circle is chosen for more than aesthetic purpose. The angular nature of square does not fit the com- prehensiveness of nature. As called the mother nature, the flower, representing nature, should have the ability to embrace everything. And, circle is a great shape to demonstrate that concept, in comparison of square.
The colour I have chosen is both warm red and green, as I was greatly inspired by the temples in Japan. From the way that they matched red building to green roof had created a contrast on visual and also eye-catching for visitor. The use of red in my flower logo also help in explaining my passion. Therefore, I utilise these colour into my logo.
