Behind the concept 

TOMS Shoes has been promoting the “one for one” concept that the brand will give away a pair of shoes for every pair of shoes they sell. From TOMS Shoes, the same concept is developed into TOMS Eyewear, TOMS Bag Collection, and TOMS Roasting Co.

The campaign developed builds on creating a contrast in the advertisements to encourage purchases that will lead to a good cause. Building on the “one for one” concept, customers are getting quality and sustainable products when purchasing TOMS products for a good cause. Their purchase is not only supporting a socially responsible company but also helping someone in need.

Covering shoe boxes, magazines, billboards and lift, the campaign offers contrasting images between the difference that their purchase can make to someone in need. Complemented with a tagline that demonstrates the viewers are making an impact, the advertisement looks to induce empathy with the striking images and encourage a purchase decision.
